Hi Everyone, its BadAss here, and I thought it was time to get organised and write about what's new and in the pipeline for the RockDogs site.
Firstly you'll notice that the site's had a facelift a few weeks back. It all happened compliments of the week I managed to wag off work pretending to be sick, cough, cough! (although my boss did start to get suss at the end of it, being my first week on the job and all.)
Back to the site! Well as you might have guessed we're very excited about black, we think it's the colour of the future, and so we're using it as much as possible. (we actually conducted a brief but exhaustive poll of all the guys in the RockDogs and the bum that was walking past the Doghouse and received an almost unanimous vote for the black colour scheme (Smegs, the girl, wanted subtle Orange with flashes of pink ..but we told him to go and get stuffed!)
Friday's the RockDogs day
We've dedicated Fridays to be our big update day each week. We've designed the site to be a fun place to hang out for people who are bored at work. Basically if anything new is going to happen to the website, its most probably gonna happen on a Friday. (Friday seems to be the most appropriate day cause my boss is out on the road that day so I can get heaps done on the RockDogs site!)
New RockDogs comic strip every Friday!
Every Friday you'll find a new RockDogs comic up on the site. They're being drawn by a guy called Martin Hill with ideas coming from a whole team of people including Greg Shaw and Steven Hill. On some weeks they get on a roll and you'll see new ones up nearly everyday.
Zeke's on myspace.
It seems nowadays that until you make it big on myspace, then you're just a nobody. Zeke is concerned that he needs a more direct and uncensored avenue to get important messages to his adoring fans so he has quickly launched his own myspace.
He's been claiming its there to promote the RockDogs but there has been rumours just quietly that he's using it as a stepping stone to launching his solo career and not just as a cheap stunt to pick up heaps of chicks! I had a look the other day at it and he's got like 3 friends or something like that so far and none of them are chicks. To tell the truth, the whole thing looks like amateurish crap, (which kinda fits in with the whole myspace vibe anyway). I think I'm safe to say that I don't think he's leaving the Dogs for anything bigger, better anytime soon..
That said though, if you happen to be on myspace and you're not a really hot chick then go to his site and say hi!
Photo gallery
You might have noticed that we've also launched a photo gallery. (Yes I know there's only 1 photo in it so far). There will be more added soon but at the moment we're just in the process of getting them off people's cameras. Actually now that I think about it if anyone's talking to Leo Sayer, could you please ask him send us the RockDogs pic that got taken on his phone so we can swap it from the really crap one that Shrawee took.
New stuff in the pipeline
Coming hopefully in the next month is the RockDogs weekly story. Written by Martin Hill and Carolyn Hammond it's gonna be like a to-be-continued weekly story which at the end of each week you get to answer a few multiple questions which will determine where the story's direction for the following week. And to Uncle Joe who keeps writing in requesting the same thing - no, we're not ending each week with an wet t-shirt contest.
According to Spike, the new RockDogs weekly story which will feature music and cartoons is a ground breaking internet first! (Spike only discovered the internet last week so everything still very exciting to him.)
